Hello,

First of all, I would like to say how helpful this forum has been, and I appreciate you guys looking over what I'm sure is completely inane in my posts.

However; I have yet another problem.

Here at work, one of my bosses pointed out to me that his microphone on his Toshiba DKT2020-SD is not working when he puts his phone on speaker. The light next to the button doesn't light up like other phones; it merely just mutes him out. However, when he is paged, it lights up, and he is able to respond to any page. I have tried pushing the mic button during a speaker call, turning up the volume, putting the call on hold and pushing speaker... I'm running out of buttons to push.

Is there something that he disabled accidentally? It was working just fine before.

We are running a Toshiba Strats DK280 that I want to smash with a sledgehammer.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I aasume you have tried moving his phone to a different port and testing it and moving a diferent phone to his port and testing? This would be step 1

Also, even though you posted it was a 2020SD, just verify that there isn't an H in that model number - 2000-DHF for example is a handsfree phone and does not have speaker capabilities.

Other than that... yup like SSPphone said - switch with a known working one.

I agree with MacOSX. It sounds definitely like your boss has a DKT2020H / DKT2010H phone. Find a phone that ends in S or SD to get his mic working.

Nope... there's no 'H'. It was working before, and one day, just stopped working. I'll try switching it out with another phone.

I switched it out, and the "mic" light still isn't lighting up for a call dialed on speaker. I noticed that this isn't working for another phone downstairs too... upstairs, the "Mic" light lights up when you push "Speaker," but those two phones do not light the Mic light up, even when replaced by another working phone. Very bizarre.

Agreed with Bob and Steve... but I can't imagine 30 LED 1/2 were adjusted for just those ports.

That is a lot of "accidental" button pushing on the correct port.

:anxiously awaits reply:

BTW Carter... hold off on the sledgehammer smile

That is a rock solid system... we'll help you through it!
