Hey, Is there any way that I would be able to do a backup to the SD card via a handset? I cannot get into the system as the default communityname has been changed & would just like to perform a backup to be safe. I have a CTX100 phone system.
Thanks in advance!

Yes, if the 4-digit password has not been changed as well. Its best to contact a Mod off-line for this information as it is against policy to post specifics which fall outside the scope of normal end-user programming information.

nope, that password has not been changed - already got in there & changed the IP address of the box. Is it just in those menus somewhere, or do I need to know detailed program numbers, etc? Also, did you mean to contact a mod for the backup info since I already have the password? Thanks!

No, If you have the program numbers and can navigate with a 20 button set (sounds like you can), you just have to do a forced format and then backup.

You can find the communityname out if it is a real problem.

So I was able to finally get around to doing this. I used a 2GB SD card that I have laying around (the phone system didn't have on in it). The SD card is known good - I use it all the time. I inserted it & was able to get to the correct programs/options, etc. It didn't do anything, though. As soon as I inserted the card, the SD LED flashed constantly (but not like a read flash...just a timed flash). When I chose the forced format option, I press "hold" - this is correct, no? & I did the rest of the steps. When I tried to read it in a card reader, it still had old data on it - it didn't format. Also, the light activity never changed.
So basically, I'm wondering how the light is supposed to act, why it didn't work & is my card too large for it?
Thanks guys!

What brand name is the card, and did it have any existing data on it? I do think that the size may be an issue, but can't verify that... though I'll check around and get back.
Usually the flash will look like a read/write flash, not a timed "clocking" like flash... that's odd too.

Hit hold twice after choosing forced format. 2 gb is okay.

I will try that. The timed flashing starts immediately after putting the card in. It is an OCZ 150x card.
When you press hold once, it goes back to the menu, I believe...so hold again would bring me up one more in the menus, no?
Another thing I was wondering is what the 4th feature is in that program. The reason I ask is that I was just browsing around afterward & found the 4th feature button has options of something like "ok-all, ok-partial, ng or cancel" the ng is selected with a * beside it. What would this mean & what is it referring to?
But anyhow, I will try to get back on site & try this as soon as possible. Thanks for all the assistance.
