Put a compactflash card in the slot and use ntbackup to do it. You don't need to shutdown services to do the manual style backup.

You need the following:

-Mailbox folder
-Greetings folder
-Persistence folder
and the TAIS .reg key

Toshiba has a Backup and restore program that automates the backup process. It can also do automatic backups to PC connected on the network, but it takes a few steps to setup.

I created a bat file and told windows schedualer to run it once a week, if you are on a network it works great.

"backup.bat"

cd..
cd..
cd..
net stop "Stratagy Enterprise Server"
regedit.exe /e L:\network folder\StratagyES.reg hkey_local_machine\software\TAIS\StratagyES
cd StratagyES
xcopy database\*.* /e /y L:\network folder\StratagyES\dataabase\*.*
xcopy Messages\*.* /e /y L:\network folder \StratagyES\messages\*.*
cd..
cd..
shutdown.exe -r -y -f

you will need to copy the shutdown.exe file into your system from any XP install.

compact flash on the front works well on most systems, some have a different bios that doesnt recognize it..

and toshiba backup program works realy well, do nightly auto backups to the cf card and you are good to go..

if you backup manually dont backup the persistance file you dont need it and it can cause problems
