I'm not a phone tech, but I do all the IT here. The owner asked me to help her with the phone system. I reset the password for 990 thru the admin box (999), but now when we dial into the system, 990 doesn't automatically roll into 991. Could I have changed another option that caused this? If so, can I fix it via the phone interface? Thanks!

Did you just reset the password for 990 or did you reset the mailbox ?

I *may* have reset the mailbox by mistake the first time I tried to reset the password. (It took me 2 tries to reset the password.)

If you reset the MAILBOX(instead of the password) then the automatic chain to 991 would now be gone. You will need someone with the Admin software to login and fix that for you.

The first option in mailbox admin, option 3, is to reset the mailbox. Option 5 is to reset the security code. I think it should be the other way.

Also if you reset the mailbox it is probably recording messages that no one is hearing.

Please help the technologically impaired. How do you change the LCD (name display) on the Toshiba IVP8 phone? Mode? page? scroll?

1. There is no Toshiba IVP8 phone. IVP8 is a voicemail.

2. There are different methods of changing the LCD display depending on which control unit you have.

Your control unit will have a nomenclature on it. It could be DK16e, DK40, DK280, DK424, DK424i, CTX 100, CTX 672, etc. We need to know that info to guide you to changing the name on the phone.

See, I told you I was technologically impaired. The model # on the phone is DKT2010-SD.

We still need the Model number of the Control Unit.
