Not sure what you mean by "3-digit forward" , please explain exactually what you are wanting to do.Are you talking about forwarding offsite after hours?

we have a offsite helpdesk and i was hoping our internal users could just dial one of our 3-digit extensions, but doing so without creating a phone (make sense)? I can do it with the CF-NA to an external on a phone, but was wondering if there were other options.

You can program one of the feature keys as a one-touch button to transfer to a fixed telephone number (offsite number). Would that work better than having to dial a 3-digit number?

If you look at the roll-over help for a pilot it says that you can use up to 16 digits, but it gives an error after 7 digits, which means that it can't be used to transfer offsite.

I am just saying that because I thought I used a pilot DN to transfer offsite at one time, but it looks like that is not possible.

The common way, if you are trying to simulate an internal extension, is to use a phantom DN on another phone then call forward to the external number, using #6011.

Sometimes I get a little creative and use the voicemail to do the transfering offsite, and create a pilot to the voicamail system. That way if I log in remotely I can change the number. Otherwise someone has to enter the number at the phone.
