Hi everyone.
I'm using Stratagy ES admin with an ES type voicemail system.
I'm wanting to use auto attendant to transfer a call directly to a voicemail box without ringing that person's phone.
Right now our auto attendant is set up so that the caller can dial certain numbers like 1,2, or 3 for different functions. I know there is a way to transfer someone to voicemail manually using the phones, I just didn't know if it could be done using these menu options with auto attendant.
We have a general mailbox for any caller to leave a voicemail in. This is also the operator's extension. I would like for a caller to be able to call in, and have an option to just leave a message in the general mailbox without ringing the operator's extension. Like, press 5 to leave a message in our general mailbox. They press 5, and the voicemail greeting begins, followed by a prompt to record the message.
Anyone know if this can be done? If so, how?
Any help would be much appreciated.

I can't necessarily do that because this is also the operators mailbox number. When someone dials zero from the outside it transfers to 500 internally and the receptionist's phone rings. 500 is also the general mailbox's extension. If I put that on DND her phone won't ring. I want calls to ring to her extension if someone dials zero, but if they choose to leave a message instead I want them to press another number like say 5, but still get the voicemail greeting and be able to record a message in the general mailbox without ringing her phone. I thought the DIRECTSEND option would work, but it's asking for a mailbox when I call from the outside even though I specified it. I'm thinking that this is impossible?

Set the option to RECORD, with the mailbox number in the parameters field.

Well, that worked! Thanks newtecky!
I actually tested this before with my own extension before and it didn't work. BUT I got a little more brave and tried it with the actual general mailbox extension and it worked this time. Weird, but got the result I wanted.
Thanks again guys.
