We have a Stragay VM (CTX 670) and auto-attendant boxes set up at each branch. Branches are configured to dial their auto attendant extension to check their voicemail, however this does not work. I get incorrect password message, but if I dial the auto attendant for our main branch I do not get this message. All of these extensions are on the same card, so I do not see what the problem is, nor can I tell a difference in the way the boxes are configured. I am really lost and I am only at this office for the day and I would like to get it figured out. Any help is appreciated.

Each user in each branch shouldn't have to dial their AA number to check their messages, they should be dialing the pilot number for the vm hunt group and possibly a node ID before the pilot number depending on how QSIG is set up.

That is how it's configured. In emanager their voicemail extension is 555 which is a hunt group for 556, 557, 558, 559, and 600. However, the situation still is the same, they are told invalid security code when they dial in no matter what I set it to.

I'm just learning about this and the more and more I look I see part of the issue I guess. The hunt group is assigned in the switch and it points to for extensions which are designated as voicemail. It seems like these extensions do not sync with password changes I make in Stratagy, why is this?

Need clarification. Do all the sites have their own voicemail system? And are you using StrataNet to network all of the locations?

If its an invalid security code you're getting then I would suspect you are confused as to which mailbox you are trying to log in to. Check the VMID of each user. When you dial the vm pilot number and you get prompted for a password, you should be entering in the pw of the mailbox that is entered in the VMID field.

That's the thing, I am entering the right password. The password works just fine if I change the VM Pilot number to one for a different branch, but if I use the one setup for this branch it says invalid. They both use the same underlying VM system, so I don't understand how that is the case.

The extentions for the vmail under station assignments, do you have id codes entered for them? If so, remove them. You also said that they have their own vmail at each branch, are the pilot numbers the same at each branch and are the pilot numbers setup in remote node dn's? Is the pilot number entered as centralized vm number under system>voicemail data? Is this vmail turning the msg lights on/off?
