Came in today logged in to our CTX 670 with VM32, went to System Setup changed the time then accidently clicked Initalize insted of restart. Now I have a issue with voicemail, incomming calls, will ring the ext and go to the main sytem greeting after 5 rings. When I dial 55 from any ext the vm system picks up and the main greeting starts to play but only for a split second, then the systems says that was a invalid entry. and then the second system greeting plays.

Appretiate any help that you can offer.

What system did you think you needed to restart to adjust the time? I hate to say it but I think you really screwed up. This is a bit too involved to be able to troublshoot over this forum I believe. I would give your local Toshiba dealer a call asap. With any luck, they can possibly restore your system data. If not, they will be able to reprogram it for you.

Sounds like you didn't have a current backup on the SM card. When you initialize, the system loads the backup file from the SM card. ALWAYS do a backup, no matter how small a program change is...... smile

I wasn't trying to offend you by any means and apologize if I did.

With what you are saying now, it sounds like it could possibly be a vm integration problem. With the iES32 the fix could be as simple as resetting both systems properly, or it could be a very complicated matter seeing as how your system got initialized. If you got a Toshiba guy coming out, Im sure he/she can get you back to normal.

I second the notion about doing the back-up frequently.

Travis,

No I was not offended, Actually the second answer I received was much more informative, the backupwas not that old and I was able to make some chanages to update the exts. However I still don't know what went wrong with the VM. I appreciate the fact that you took the time to reply.

Sounds like the vm ports are not programmed as SMDI. Check it out program 580, although I don't know why your backup would have had them as inband. Have you tried restarting both the CIX and Stratagy like Travis suggested?

Sorry, I made a typo in my last reply. If you have a Stratagy iES32, the vm ports should be SMDI in prog 580.

With the iES32 they should be set to SMDI.
