I have a customer with a DK424 and a Stratagy Flash. When the caller presses 1, I have it going to a mailbox where I used token programming to try and get it to flash the call, dial a cellphone number, and flash again and drop out. This is for a management company that wants a mailbox to transfer certain calls directly to the cellphone of an agent on duty. It works fine on the telephone sets, but I can't seem to configure the analog ports to do the same function. On a phone set, I simply hit flash, get a return dial tone, dial the number and flash back out and hang up. That works great. I just can't duplicate it from a mailbox.

Have you try to connect a Butt set to the VM port and do external transfer? I think you need a Centrex trunk to perform this feature on Analog VM port

I am not sure about the Strategy integration that would need to be made, but maybe another way to try is setting up a phone with a CF-EXT, then transfer to that DN, PhDN, etc.?

On a Strata DK the Token should be:
@F-#45-{phone number}--H

You could play with the timing by adding more dashes or a comma for delay, before the number nad before the "H".

Just putting this out there to make sure you have the right tokens.

This would be if you have Centrex calling features, which you would if, as you said, you can flash to transfer a call.

Thanks for that. Tony, could you elaborate on the CF-EXT? And on the token programming from newtecky, what is the #45? I did not use that, I just used flashes, hookswitches and pauses.Is all this done in a standard mailbox? I set it up in DND mode, like an announcer box. Thanks.

CF-EXT is Call Forward External. The #45 is the code that does a hookflash on an analog port (same as your 'F')

Do not enable DND in the mailbox. If you do, it ignores the Extension field and goes straight to the greeting. Leave DND off and lock it. That will force the token programming in the extension field.

I would just like to point out one thing if I can: The token code "F" is not the same as the #45. The F in the token with flash the analog port and draw dialtone from the system. The #45 will flash the Trunk, and with centrex lines or call transfer disconnect feature from the Telco provider, will give you dialtone from the CO.

I put the Token for Centrex because your original post said that you use a Flash on the Telephone sets to transfer offsite, which would indicate that you have that feature as part of your phone service.

If you do not have centrex lines then the Token code for Strata DK (from their web site) is:
@F-9-{phone Number},,F-F-H
This will use 2 lines in your system for the call. You will need a 9 for this as it will access another CO line. You don't need a 9 with the Centrex feature because you are dialing on the same trunk.

I have not done a CF-EXT on a Strata DK. I know it is not as easy as the Strata CIX.

And as Voyager pointed out, leave DND off and locked.

Thanks for that info, I will give it a try. Voyager, you said "force the programming in the extension field." I was doing the token programming in the notify screen. Do I need to do it in the ext field right under the box number?

I just got back from the job. When I changed the extension field to the token programming, I was no longer able to select that mailbox. It kept telling me it was an invalid selection. Where did I go wrong?
