I have 2 sites networked recently new install
A. CIX670 MIPU 8 channels
B. CIX100 MIPU 8 channels
Both have the latest mipu fimware, set the codec to 729g.
Connect via point-to-point T1 with Adtran Netvanta 3200. No firewalls.
When they lose the audio, resetting the mipu at site A, resolves the problem. This happens several times during the day. I've check all the settings in both phone systems. Site B gets its Internet across this same connection from site A.

Thanks for any advice.

A couple of things to start. If using g729 use a 32ms tail length echo canceller in prog 150 FK10 and disable channels 4 and 8. Also check that you have clocking set on your Netvantas.

I was reading that there isn't a channel restriction with G729 on an MIPU.

Some people on the Toshiba tech message board have complained of the same problem.

Maby try the beta mipu firmware, it claims to fix this..

"Audio will no longer be lost over StrataNet IP when the MIPU firmware sends an ARP request and waits for a reply to recover the ARP table. If the packet send request generated before a receive ARP reply, the MIPU firmware reads the MAC address from ARP table with all zeroes for the destination ethernet address. (Note: In Wireshark search for the following command, “eth.dst == 00:00:00:00:00:00”)"
