I have user that would like to forward all calls to a remote office (long distance). Would I use the 10-2 program or 36??

My gear: Strata DK 424 with DK 3020SD phones

external forward is limited on the DK series , only DID's or private lines that are set to ring only one phone will forward external.

Pardon my lack of knowledge, but Program 36 is called "Fixed Call Forward." - Is it possible to use that?

And if each line has a direct # from the outside, would that be considered a DID/private line?

By the way - the manual isnt very clear and doesnt really say much about forwarding to outside phone numbers.

Fixed forward will not forward to an external number. Basically, a line that rings on ONLY that phone can forward externally. Check the user guide on how to turn on call forward external.

Ok so i have the correct information and the commands work fine.

First - I had to set the Speed dial by storing the Destination number in bin 49. Using program 607, it will then tell it to forward to the external dest.

My problem now is that the destination PBX is different that ours (NEC Electra Elite). dont suppose I could keep posting this as a Toshiba issue?

Glad you got it working! Why does it matter what the other PBX is? If the call reaches the outside destination, then the call is completed, is it not? If you are looking to do something with that call after it gets to the NEC, then yes, post a new topic in NEC, referencing this topic via link.
