I have CTX 670 system, with strategy voicemail. Our problem is, when everyone leaves, and auto attandant is supposed to be picking up calls, sometimes it doesnt. Someone was calling in on Monday, and the phone just capt ringing. Did not get picked up. Since he was calling at 5 am, which is when we get most of our call-in calls, I am wondering if volume of calls coming in could have something to do with it? Also, where do I go to check auto-attendant options? Any ideas would be appreciated.

P.S. This does not happen all the time, but I have heard that it happend a few times before.

Thanks

How do they enable auto attendant, do they press a night key or do they use day/night calender ?
if using the latter then check all the times and work day settings, do they use auto attendant during the day to filter calls, if so then check the schedule on the vm.

this setting is in the voice mail itself. after loggin you can set a time the voice mail will answer like for weekends, after hours, etc.

If it answers sometimes and sometimes it doesn't, you could be exceeding the number of calls your voicemail can handle at one time.

With so many ways your system can be programmed, it is hard to say this is how you turn on/off the auto attendant. Typically there is a Night key programmed on the receptionist phone which controls how the phone rings.

If the voicemail answers intermittendly, then I would check into the possibility that you need to add more voicemail ports to handle your call volume.

There are many options in the voicemail setup and with the phone system itself that only a Toshiba techmnician with the administrative software can change.

I believe there are 8 ports on the voice mail, but the lines... does two sound about right smile ??? I will play with the settings and see if anything happens. Thanks for your answers.

I would think that with a CTX 670 , you would have more than 2 lines.
