So, like any simple single line phone system you buy today, it maintains a history of calls.
Does my Toshiba, CTX-100 do it also? I see in the manuals a discussion about Call History, but I am hearing that this is a history of missed calls, or calls that did not go to VM.
Something is wrong here.
We have an IVP8 with SMDI.
Thanks!

If your system is equipt with the caller ID cards , then yes there is call history , there is a little programing that needs to be done for it to work.

Well, we do call incoming Caller ID info on our display.
We have a CIX-100 -ASTU3A *ASTU *BSIS -BWDKU {16 station digital} -BPTU {T1-PRI} -LIPU -IVP8
So because we do see Caller ID on our displays, is this a clue that we can store Caller ID info.
If so, then how do we do it?
My Installer, thinks it is only 'missed' calls'
How do you program it? I can pass the reply on to him.
Thanks!

Program a CLID button on each phone , enable call history for each station (how many numbers it will store).

Actually I believe it is only for answered calls on that particular station. Is that right? Can somebody confirm that? Maybe Ill give it a test.
OK I just tested it on my phone, called once and didnt answer, called again from a different number and answered. Looked at my call history and both calls showed up so discard what I said above.
PracticePRO, you need to program a CLID button on your phone and then go to the DKT tab and enable Call History (FB 17) with the number of calls you want stored, what Steve said.

The CTX/CIX Series greatly improved the caller ID history, as the DK system was able to recall only UNANSWERED calls. Even if a call was redirected to voicemail that was considered an unanswered call and would not be stored. Thankfully Toshiba fixed this feature.

I beleive transfered calls to an extension did not show up in the call history unless Toshiba has redone that in later versions.

Are the DK systems still limited to unanswered calls or did Toshiba release a firmware upgrade that will allow answered calls as well?
