i've used my laptop for remote programing before but i deleted a shortcut on my desktop and now it will not work any more.
i have it set up as CTX Remote1 (are like the it tells you in the help tab)and ran the new connection wizard for the dial up connection. i have the DID in my dialing string calling the auto att.
and 3-,,, comma's after it then the V/M box that trans. to the modem in the CIX 670, but it won't even dial out when i'm in e-manager. i have the check box checked so can anyone tell me what im doing wrong?
if i just use my dial up modem to go to like AOL it works fine so the modem is working.

when i try to connect to a system using the dial up modem in emanager 4.2, i check the box for "use dial-up" and click connect. as soon as i do another screen comes up named "connect to LAPTOP1" now i do not have a connection named that, but it asks me for a user name and password.
on the top left side of my screen the pop-up window for toshiba comes up just as it always had but since i dont know what that other "LAPTOP1" is i cant make it to the remote system.
i have deleted the old dial up connection named RemoteCTX1 and then made another, but it still does the same thing. i am at a dead end with this and i hope someone can please help me. Thanks in advance, Mike

k now after making another new dial up connection named RemoteCTX1 (the same as all the rest of the ones I have made) the pop up is now saying connecting to localhost and then it prompts for a user name and password.
Since it has been down for so long I don’t remember if this is normal and I just forgot what to use in the fields are is this wrong to?
All I really remember is checking use dial up and clicking connect. The modem comes up and dials the company number that I assign then logs me in.
Just wanted to update this post with the most current information I can provide.

I have this problem also but have found this to be an IE problem go into IE and tools menu and select internet options make sure local host is selected as a trusted site and change security level for this zone to low this will fix this problem of user name and password i have not yet worked out which option in IE is causing this.
Cheers Chris
