I have a DK424 installed. I want to program a speed dial key to automatically log my customer into the VM so they can change the day/night mode. The string would be- Intercom 252 Pause *8 Pause 1234

When I input this string, it will only dial Int 252 (analog port), and when the VM answers the string does not continue. I programmed a pause key to set the pauses at 1.5 seconds.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Speed dial is automatically stopped when voice mail answers. Do not know why.

If they have a out side number that voice mail answers you could go that way.

Does anybody know why the speed dial string quits working when it reaches an analog port?

Could be because either the vmail system is smdi integrated, or maybe cuz it's an internal call.
Faded memory but I think "quick dump to vmail" type of feature wasn't available until 424i or CTX.

Mj has a valid idea though... If there is an outside number (backdoor) that vmail answers, the speed dial could be used to dial that number and pause for more digits.

That sound like a good plan B. I thought of programming a string in a mailbox itself that would complete the dial string. Once you get into VM, choose a box with an option to complete the dial string within the VM instead of the system. Worth a shot. It always seems like the simple stuff takes the most time.
