Here's the problem: Got CIX 670 R4 and a 12 port MAS server. The hunt group has a pilot of 850 and members 401-412 and when you watch the port activity you can see up to (8)ports off hook and (4) on hook but if you call 850 it just rings however if I call that port directly it will answer. I have rebuild the hunt group and rebooted the CIX. Any idea's??

In VM parameters of Stratagy, did you specify 850 as the pilot number?

Just checked Pilot Number it was there. I did not do the original programming and at least 5 or 6 techs came before me. None of them catching this problem or choosing not to deal with it.

Are ports 409-412 set as voicemail in station assignments?

H means the vm ports are IP not analog. I would delete the hunt group and re-create it. Make sure that the hunt method is distributed and the number to display is 850. Add the vm ports to the in the members tab. In prog 260, for each vm port, FB15 should be 850.

That was one of the first things I did. I was thinking (grabbing at straws) is there any way the MAS is not releasing the DN's back to the switch? I'm not sure how the hunt finds a available port.

I must be the only one to ever have this problem or am I the only one to try and do something about it?
There must have been 10 techs in this switch before me and not a word.
I'm going to fix this hunt group problem if its the last thing I do. Wish me luck
