I have a customer with 2 locations, 1 has a Toshiba CIX100 and the other I am told has a Nortel with Callpilot voice mail. We will be setting up a point to point between them and they are wanting to use the Callpilot as a centralized voice mail. Am I barking up the wrong tree? Is this even possible? Anyone tried this? Help...................

I don't see any way of making it work.

I think thats a stretch as well. I only work on Toshibas but Im sure that the integration patterns/techniques are different between the CIX and the Nortel system. Unless you can set up two distinct integration types in the Callpilot, I dont see this working.

The only way of getting this to work would be for each CIX extensions to forward to a particular number that is going straight to the voicemail box of the extensions set in the CIX.. Problem is message waiting lamps and stuff like that.. It is probably too much trouble though.

The call pilot is integrated pretty close with the Nortel. I din't think it will work with other systems. You call the voicemail on the Nortel using feature 983, which there is no such animal in Toshiba world, altho it does also have an extension, I think the integration on the Nortel is pretty proprietary, at least what I have seen of it.
