I'd like to find a way to differentiate between direct dialed calls and call coming from the auto attendant or from the receptionist.
Background: Main Company - Main number goes to receptionist, or defaults to an auto attendant.
Sister Company - I have a dedicated number for an additional business that I would like to be answered with a different greeting.
The question is how would the person at this extension (not the receptionist) know if it is from the dedicated number or through the main number/receptionist/auto attendant?
I think the answer lies with using an ACD but I'm not completely sure. We use Oaisys Netphone also and I believe this is where the person answering the phone would see if its for one line or another.
All suggestions and odd doings welcome

We need some info. What kind of system is it? How are the lines getting to the phones? DN's or line keys? If you are using copper lines then you could go into programming and name each c.o. line with some distinct text. For example, if line 8 is for the other business then you would put the business name in. Whenever calls ring in on that line the display of the phone would show that and you could answer accordingly. Also, you could put a phdn on the phones and direct the line to ring on that phdn thus helping identify it.
