I have two CIX670 systems linked via StrataNet and a MAS connected to one of them. The system with the MAS connected also has all the PRI lines on it. For discussion, let's call the system that has the MAS/PRIs connected to it PS#1 and the other system PS#2. I want to do this *while* having a button to do Night Transfer. I know I can setup an event in the mailbox to change greetings and such within the MAS, but the building PS#2 is in wants the flexibility of the Night Transfer button.

Basically, what I would like to do is set the Night Transfer on PS#2. When the Night Transfer is set to Night, I want the DID that rings into PS#2 to use a different mailbox than it does during Day1 or Day2 modes. Keep in mind the DID and MAS are on PS#1.

Is there a way to use System Call Forward, Tenants, or maybe a Flexible Access Code to do this?

I've thought if I had a flexible access code to turn a particular Tenant into a particular mode, then all I'd have to do is setup a separate tenant on PS#1, and have a One Touch Button on PS#2 to dial this code and set the Tenant the DID is on to Night mode. I have yet to find a flexible access code to do this, however.

I might need to clarify even more. Let me know if you have questions.

Thanks.

CG-The NT button on each system is unique to that system, so basically setting the NT on PS2 does not effect the system PS1 in any form. That being said, customers have used IPT sets assigned out of PS1 and installed on site PS2 to control the NT assignments for PS2. Furthermore, this could get pretty deep when you consider that the IPT is assigned from PS1 and it does control the PS1 system. The only way around this would be to setup Call-by-Call (CBC) on PS1. The DID's assigned to PS2 (in PS1) will need to go into a different Tenant such as two.
This one is not so clear cut and will take some thought, it can be done and has been done in this manner.

And just to clarify one other point; there is no access code to turn off/on a night key. There has to be a key assigned to a phone. That is why you would need an IPT to change the settings at PS#1.

Having the DID ring into a different tenant controlled by another phone (IPT) should be possible, after setting up Call by call as mentioned.

Thanks for the info guys.

I thought I came up with a creative solution here... but it's not working as anticipated.

First, I created two pilotDNs for each different auto-attendant (PilotDN 1 and 2 for discussion purposes). Both Pilot DNs do Dialing Digits to voicemail (ext 5000) with the appropriate Mailbox ID for each auto-attendant. Those work great.

Next, I used an extra DKT port (ext 6999) on the system and setup SCF 10 to have two different forwarding patterns. Day1 and Day2 go to PilotDN 1, Night goes to PilotDN 2. This phone is ON PS#2. I also left the VMID field blank and the VM MW Center Port blank.

Lastly, what I was going to do was redirect the DID to go to this extension (which has no phone) and should automatically SCF depending on PS#2's mode to the proper PilotDN for each auto attendant.

I couldn't get to this last step because of the way the station uses its SCF. It does indeed forward to Voicemail (ext 5000) when I dial 6999. The problem is I get the Toshiba Girl saying "Thank you for calling, if you know the extension of the person you wish to reach... blah blah" instead of getting my auto attendants...

I believe this method will work if I can get past this SCF to a pilotDN issue... It is the only way I can see one phone system handing a call to another and THEN deciding on the Day1/Day2/Night destinations on the second system.

Anyone ever mess with SCF on phones in weird ways like this?...

I'm continuing to have issues with this.

In general, how do you setup a changing auto attendant? For instance, I want a multiple call group or whatever to default to mailbox 1111 during the day and 2222 during the night. Is this only done through DIDs? or is there another way?

I've tried a SCF (as I mentioned above) to transfer me to different PilotDNs depending on the day mode. This apparently doesn't work...

Any help would be greatly apprecaited.

I have never done different SCF destinations depending on day or night. The only problem I have had with using Pilot DNs to answer with an AA is some timses the call would jump to the default greeting.

I think it has something to do if the DND is on and recording is off. The way I was originally told to fix the RNA problem is set RNA in box "A" (1111 in tour example) to go to another box, say 1112. The greeting plays properly in 1112.

I am sure there are better ways to do it using another option on the RNA dropdown, such as setting it for Auto Attendant.
