We have the toshiba strata dk280. Our music on hold is not working. I tried a new radio and cord, it did not work. Could it be the card itself the(RCTUA1)

The MOH input on the RCTU could be broken. This could be because of too much pressure being applied when connecting the audio cable, without supporting it from behind.

Thanks Tony. Can that just be replaced or would it have to be the whole board. I didn't see that card listed on the Sundance website. Sometimes they have things that are not listed.

It depends on how it is broken (if that is the case). If it broke the solder connection, you may be able to re-solder it. If it broke te physical connection on the board, you're SOL. You would have to buy a new board, then have a download and upload of your programming information... unless it's very basic and you can reprogram on the fly, being that it's only a RCTUA, I can't imagine you have many programming oddities.
All depends on how much the MOH is worth to you.
Also, out of curiosity - How is the cabinet currently configured (how many cards, ports, lines, etc.)?

I've repaired broken solder connections by scraping acrossthe break and soldering in a short piece of wire, not the prettiest but what the hay.

Before replacing the processor, check the MOH volume control on the RCTU.

We have two cards plus the rctua. We are only currently using about 10 ext at this time. I did see the volume control but of course I didn't have my pocket srewdriver with me. Its my most prized tool I have, and yet, I can't keep enough of them around. As soon as I can get back to that school I will be sure to update my progress.

You may also want to use your butt set and make sure that you're getting music directly from the RCA plug. I have seen where that cable goes bad especially if it's been beaned together with a mini plug.
