I have a station that the buttons do not light up on on a CTX100. However after powering down the cabinet and repower up the station works 100% for a while and then the problem starts over again. I have talked to a toshiba tech and he suggests a software upgrade. This station has been working for over 4 years without any issues so I do not understand what a software upgrade would do to solve this problem.

Trying swapping the phone with a known good phone, if the problem follows the set..replace the phone..if the problem stays at the jack find what station card it is on and swap the station card with good card..see if problem follows the card if so replace. The station cards can be removed and replace hot. Never seen a software upgrade fix this problem unless it is happening on all phones maybe
Also check the amphenol connnectors at the station cards..common for them to get loose and not pushed in all the way.
