I have a station that is shared between for staff members. I can give each of them a mailbox and setup an auto attendant but can't notify them if they have messages properly (unless I email them perhaps). What I'm wanting to know is what is the best practice for this situation that you all implement? Is it possible to setup a flexible button/PhDN to flash? Is there a more appropriate way to inform each of the four people in the room about their messages?
Thanks in advance.

You certainly can set up a flexible button as a message waiting indicator however you need a PhDN button AND a PhDN message waiting button on the phone for each. So having 4 of them on one phone would require 8 different buttons, not very practical. Your best bet would be to use UM like you said and have their vm messages emailed to them. I would make sure and set the mb's to "delete on send" so that they dont keep filling up with messages.

Ah. thank you for pointing that out. Your right, 4 would be too many buttons. i could probably swing it, since there's only one intercom and one other button...
I think emailing would be the best notification. Do you know if there is a way I can set a button on the phone to call into a particular voicemail box? I can do PilotDNs to record messages, but how would I go about making a button to *check* a voicemail box?

Here's a trick. Give the phone an ADM even though it doesn't have one physically attached. Then you can place the PhDN on the ADM buttons and the PhDN MW buttons can be on the phone so you'll only be using up 4 buttons on the phone.

If you have one box shared by 4 people, then you would need 1 extra button per phone, if you hide the PhDN on the virtual ADM.
