We have a couple of extensions where the display on the phone is not showing the proper number of messages that are in the person's mailbox. Then it cleared itself up once then reappeared.
These extensions and voicemails have been setup for a long time without any issues until recently.
The extensions are at a different location than where our voicemail system is located. But locations have a CIX670 and are connected via a point-to-point T1 between buildings. This problem recently started when the there was some local telco issues with some of our different T1 lines that we use for data.
What controls the number of messages that are on the display? I was unsure if restarting the voicemail (Stratagy 4) might clear it or maybe restarting the entire CIX670 at the problem location. Or if I should just delete the mailbox and re-create it?

Sounds like you could be losing packets to/from the processors.

So would resetting the Strategy Voicemail system force the re-sync or would just re-starting the local CIX670 force the re-sync?

One time I had multiple message lights I couldn't clear because I swapped voicemail systems. Restarting the system would not clear them.
I made sure I had a good backup and did a systen initialize. That seem to clear it up.
Usually when you get a new message, the display will update.

I know you might have already find the anwer to this. I got the same problem and the easiest way I found to resolve this issue is deleting the stations in fault and recreate them without restarting the whole thing.

Restarting the CIX processor through emanager seemed to reolve the issue.
