I have a SDN 500 which rings two phones. 1 of those phones also rings on a specific line when it is called.

The phone works correctly, but I would like to have a differant ring for when a co line rings on the phone, instead of a call transferd to SDN 500.


Is there anyway to set a differant ring sound?

If you make the voicemail perform a supervised transfer to SDN 500, then the ring tone will sound like an internal call. I'm not sure if you'll like this option because there will be a delay from when you answer the call and say "Hello" until the voicemail releases the call. So, you may end up saying "Hello" twice before the call is connected. Other than that, there is no way to have a different ring tone on a per-trunk basis on a DK.

Something for you to try. Look at distinctive ringing in the manual. You can specify different ring tones for different scenario's on a per port basis. In the docs it is right before station ringing. I have never tried it but it is worth a try. PM me if you need more info.
