Hi All,

I've got a CTX670 and two CTX100's in three different sites total. I'm looking for the best way to connect them to Exchange 2007's Unified Messaging system.

I also hoping that in the process I can connect them in such a way that users can dial by extension no. between the various sites.

I've looked into the latter, and have been informed that I would need a VPN set up, and then the two systems would be linked via VoIP. (I already have the VPN set up; we just need to get the card in each phone system)

I've been told that connecting the system to the Exchange UM would involve VoIP as well, but that's about the extent of my knowledge.

Would anyone be able to point me in the right direction?

I am not knowledgable on Exchange UM, but you can easily connect the systems via StrataNet IP. Talk to your Toshiba dealer about installing an MIPU at each system and upgrade to the latest software and its not very hard to set up. That way you will have ext. to ext. dialing between sites, DSS/BLF, centralized voice mail, etc.

I'm a little familiar with the StrataNet setup; that's essentially what I was referring to. What I'm hoping to find out is if I get the MIPU set up, if that hardware will be sufficient to also get Exchange UM set up. (Excluding of course, all the stuff on the Exchange end of things)

Also, why would you want an MIPU over an LIPU?

Newer card/software. I just figured if you are going to buy a card, get the latest and greatest.

The only other problem I ran into was the Exchange vm would go out to syn the time and didn't work well with the software ver 3.10 that was running on the cix processor had to upgrade to 5.20 and like voyager said the mipu is a better choice too many issues with the firmware on the lipu
