Hello all, we have a dk280 for cabinet setup here at work, seems we somehow lost another power supply.
as for why we have four cabinets, I do not know. we have empty slots in the third cabinet and only one that I know we use in the fourth cabinet...
I found the issue when I went to check on some programming and could not get in then found that 4th power supply to be dead...
I tried the three button reset trick and get a little life out of it, all three lights going to town, blinking on and off and a relay ckicking to all get out right behind those leds...
any suggestions a component check on the board and or any thing else other than flat out replacement of the power supply?
on another note, can I move the programming card out of the bottom fourth cabinet into one of the many empty slots in the third cabinet and if so, will the system need to be powered down to do so?
Thanks

Only an E/F processor lets you use all the slots in an expansion cabinet. Yes, you can move the PIOU(S) into an empty and usable slot. Remember to add it in program 03 and delete it from cabinet 4. Then recycle the power to take effect.

I would suggest condensing your card assignments to gain real estate. You would be able to use the open cabinet's power supply, for replacement purposes. If you have one acting up, a replacement is advised, as it only gets worse.

question though, how would you programmatically move the PIOUSIA card from one cabinet to the other...isn't that why I cannot get into the programming side of the dk?
then the power off scenario, just the one cabinet or the whole thing down and up?
