Have a 424. Bunches of EKT phones.
Scenario: Ext. A intercoms Ext B
Tones comes over Ext B but can not hear anything. SPKR key flashes.
Ext A can hear everything.
Some phones, this doesn't occur, some do. Programming in 30 and 31 the same across the board.
Any thoughts on how to fix?
Everything I looked up on handsfree answer back, and intercom brings up nothing.

Ok I think I figured out what is going on.
The phones that are acting up are the really old-style EKTs

Some EKT phones are speaker phones some not. Check the model of the phones. EKT-6XXX-S and SD are speaker phones and EKT-6XXX-H are not.

Even if they are not, Shouldn't the called person be able to hear? It is actually working backwards. The calling party can hear but the called party can't until the flashing SPKR button is pushed.
