Is there a way to purchase licensing directly through toshiba or a reseller? Our dealer is playing hardball is not wanting to sell us the licensing without the phones. They are wanting quite a bit of money for a phone that includes the licensing when you can purchase a used one for a fraction of the price. I found the license SKU but have not been able to find a place to purchase it. All I need is an IP endpoint license. Any ideas?

Only dealers can purchase licensing , I would be carefull on purchasing a used IP phone , phone may have old firmware and you will have to pay to have it upgraded .

Can you purchase the licenses from a dealer other than the one you purchased the system through? Any recommendations?

No, there is only 1 within 120 miles. All I need to purchase is the licenses.

Check the warranty conditions because the warranty may be voided if you attach any devices not purchased from an authorized dealer.

Attaching an IP phone is going to void my warranty? Thats the same as saying having my copier send an email to my unified messaging-enabled email account will void my warranty? No offense to you but Toshiba is really reaching if they say purchasing an IP Telephone (made by them) but purchased second hand, will void my warranty. What is to stop me from just saying I don't have that phone when the system crashes?
Regardless, I am just looking for a dealer to allow me to purchase the license-only. My dealer is refusing to do so because they want $350/phone when I can purchase them for around $100.

se, what does the business you work for do?
I ask because as a Toshiba Dealer I signed an agreement that states I would not sell a license to another dealers customer unless the customer chose to send a letter to Toshiba requesting me to be their dealer. If I didn't do this I would lose my dealership. If I sold outside of my assigned area I would/could lose my dealership.
To me it's not worth the $200 I would charge you for the License.
Now if you were my customer and requested IP endpoint licenses and only licenses I would sure sell them to you. It's your system you can put whatever you want on it. But when it came time to trouble shoot or repair anything on the system it is BILLABLE.
