A long time ago we had a computer (that is no longer in use) and we had software that would capture calls in real time and log them.
with the special software on the computer we could run reports and such.
I was wondering if i could send this "real time data" to a IP/PORT instead of the serial port (or however it was connected , and to be honest i dont remember how it was)
under SYSTEM -> IO DEVICES i have a few options:
SDMR CTI 1-8 SMDI 1 - 0 BLF DSS
and i can assign one of these to LAN and from the LAN tab forward the information to a IP/PORT ont he network.
am i on the right track?
what logical device do i use?
what is the SERVER/CLIENT option for on the TCP tab?
Thanks guys

In P803 set 100SMDR to LAN & device port 1 Then in P801 set the FB05 to the client IP address as the PC which is capturing the smdr records & FB06 is the TCP port number the software is using.
This will only work with R4.1 software onwards. GCTU2, ACTU3, BCTU2, LCTU1 or LCTU2, HCTU1 will support LAN SMDR.

Need to check system software level, Yes the IP address would be the same, just monitor the port that you put in when you setup the SMDR Lan settings. Also I was never able to get Hyper Term to capture the data, Download puTTY, that works great. If your software is below release 4 than you would need a converter. https://www.neteon.net/Product/340-3-13-365/GW212#dnload

If you're processor isn't at R4 then it most likely can't be upgraded. It would be a processor replacement for SMDRoIP.
