I just loaded the latest version onto a netbook running Windows 7 pro with no issues at all.
All of the errors it seems has to do with IIS being installed on the pc, ie trying to install it on a home version of XP.

The software will only install onto:
Windows XP Pro
Vista Business
Vista Ultimate
Windows 7 Pro
Windows 7 Ultimate
any HOME versions will not work!!!!

Another thing to switch OFF is the UAC (user account control settings) before you install the software.
