I have a CTX670 with several fax machines on analogue ports RSTU3. The calls are routed over a PRI. The complaint from customer is that when sending a multipage fax, fax fails in the 3rd or 4th page. I have already deleted and rebuilt extensions, removed all tones from the extensions, removed campon to stations, and replaced RSTU. All of my test faxes complete fine. Any suggestions.

Is your PRI being fed by IP? This is a tell-tale sign.

Some of the carriers we have worked (Paetec and Nuvox) with can change compression rates based on the CNIS number being outpulsed. This usually fixes our issues.

Check the tining source is programmed in P105 FB21 the value should be the XXYYZZ xx=cab yy=slot zz=port of the PRI card. Does the FS light(bottom led on the PRI card) flash on the PRI card? this is an indication of the timing source not programmed.

Agree with Carlos#1
Had similar problem remotely accessing the internal modem on the PRI'd 670, but voice calls were fine. Turned out the clock source was not defined.

I had a CIX 670 with the exact same problem last week.
Their service provider had to tweak something in the router and that fixed the problem. Sorry, I don't have any more specific info about what exactly they did.

If they are tweeking something in the router, then that sounds a lot like a combined voice/data T1. They use VoIP for the voice and they will change faxes to be uncompressed.
