We are now parking calls to extensions - we do a lot of roaming around the office, people not at their desk, etc. When we park a call at somebody's phone, the light on the park button illuminates but there is no audible tone. Is there anyway to have the phone have an audible beep, ring or something beside a visual indicator to let the person know there is a call parked (incase the overhead page is not heard, the person who parked the call does not page, etc).
Not at this time. - I have several users with DSS keys for people in the office, which my users love but keep asking me if they can do more. The way they are programmed, we can use the DSS key to transfer a call to the extension or transfer the call to voicemail, but we cannot push our park button and then the DSS key. My install tech told me that they've never been asked to have the button do that and wasn't sure. Is this possible?
Not at this time. - Is there any way to have a DSS key that indicates when somebody is on the phone, has their phone on DND to indicate if that person has a call on hold or if their line is ringing and perform the equivalent of #5#5ext? E.g. I have a group of 6 people that sit in a room, they hear Susie's phone ringing, have a way for them to easily pick up Susie's phone if they also have a DSS key for Susie?
You can put these 6 phones in a call pick up group and dial #5#34 to pickup a call ringing in your group. You can have your vendor create a shorter code, like #8, to perform a group pickup. - We do not have a central operator, and we can have all the automated menu's in the world, people still dial 0, which we don't want to disable. We've been through all the ring tones that come canned in the system and for our overhead ringing (plugged into the speaker channel of a DKT set) we adjusted it to another one on the system but I get a lot of user complaints...is there anyway to upload a custom ring tone?
Not at this time. - What TCP or UDP ports do the IP phones use? I'm working on some inter-vlan routing and firewalls.
