Caller ID – Issue #2

I am having issues with caller id on my strata 670.

My telco tested to my local PRI and shows Caller ID passing correctly.

I have call id enabled on the phones, but don’t seem to be getting all of the information.
It appears my desktop phones are blanking out if the DISPLAY ID is two or more words.

Cell Phone is showing up as
C_ _ _ P _ _ _ _ KS
CN CN:9135551111

Patrick McHenry is showing up as
P _ _ _ _ _ _ M _ _ _ _ _ _ KS
CN:9135551111


The inbound call displays correctly if he caller id is passing data correctly if it is one word like:
TRINISYS, CLS, CIO

Does anyone have any suggestions

I'm thinking that Toshiba will not display the lowercase letters in the CID. I seem to recall the same issue, but I can't remember what I did to resolve it.
Maybe see if your carrier can send all UPPERCASE letters? Maybe someone else with a better memory will respond.

Were you able to get the carrier on site with a test set to verify they get the correct CID, with upper and lower case?

I am stuck - my provider says they cant switch it to all uppercase. I am going to keep pestering them to make the changes

Sounds like you are dealing with someone like Time Warner or such that has expertise in bringing you 500 channels of nothing worth watching.
