Hi all,

Existing CTX100 with analog co cards, has been in service for over one year. The Provider was using a T-1 with channel bank for dial tone. System worked fine durning that time period.

Client switched over to Verizon T-1 w/channel bank for data and dial tone on friday. It turned up OK and tested in and out OK on Friday morning. By friday afternoon client advised that their customers were complaining about them not answering the incoming calls. Verizon claims it's not their equipment. haha.

I have not been out to observe the condition as yet. And I did not do any programming to the system. It could be just some LD calls not getting thru. I will be out on site monday morning and I would like some ideas up front.

Thanks in advance.

@Alvaphonepro - I would assume RCOU/OS 2 or 3, which shouldn't matter if they had analog lines before.

First, verify that they ported the correct lines to the corresponding tags on their block.

Second, verify that they didn't have call forwarding turned on, from their old service, to a different line on their new service... I had that happen just about three weeks ago.

I had a customer with all the lines tagged, tested and labeled in their new office. Well, when I tested the incoming calls, they rang in order of what I assumed was the hunt (no paper-work of course). I connected them to the DK40i, tested the hunt group for incoming and tested outbound and left.

The following Monday (while I was on vacation), they called and reported ring no answer from customers and calls never coming into CO-1... yup, their provider forwarded the lines and once they canceled the RCF of their old main number, it threw a wrench in the whole thing. There was a dummy number set up for the main number, which was never passed on to us. Well they had RCF going to what was really CO-2 and when they turned it off, call number one was always ringing to a line not connected to anything. While that line was busy with call 1, call 2 rang CO-2, 3, 4 , etc.

AND

After that long winded story, thirdly... check ring voltage coming from the new provider on all the channels. Maybe they will ring a butt-set, but not enough RV for the CO card to activate.

Thanks for the replies. The cards are RCOU 2. It's almost like verizon didnt provision the LD. Local calls are fine, some LD dont go thru, that is the way I understand the problem. leaving soon to client to get more info.
