hey everyone, in one of my many searches on here i came across a post about someone mentioning something about a sliding wall plate with a hole in it so you can install it without having to pull your wires back out. it was called a "oops i forgot" or something like that. i was wondering if anyone had a link for that?

thanks

kevin

It's not sliding, it's a split wall plate that can be installed after the fact.

I'll try to look it up when I get home.

If it was built after 1980 don't expect it to work right.

Almost exactly what I was looking for today, except I need a 2 gang... any ideas?
(I was gonna buy a plastic EI one and take the rotary tool to it, but wanted to look for a premade first)

story ~ We got called out to a site that had cubicles installed ahead of schedule, so I didn't even have time to swing by Graybar to see if they had any such animal. Just had to get on site and get the cable bundle down wall and fished through the cubes.

At any rate... if anyone knows of a 2 gang version, I'm all ears!

Thanks!

Tony:

Would this help you? LOOK

You would probably have to cut a slit in it to fit over existing cables, but it's about the only thing that I have found that neatens-up situations like that. Tip: White caulk will make that slit disappear.

Not to mention, this company is in OH, so quick delivery won't be a problem.

MCM has some pretty amazing stuff, Tony. Make sure to get their catalog. You will quickly destroy a Visa card line of credit with them.
