Hello all. I have been looking for an answer to this problem and have missed it.

I want to have a message waiting light blink on a flexible button on a dkt2020-sd when there is a message in a PhDN. The phone system is a DK424I.
The invoice for the phone system shows a Stragagy 6D.

I made a new voicemail box 507 that works when voicmeail is transfered to it and that you can check manually. Made it exactly like another I already have working(but I did not set up).

After creating the new 507 PhDN I set the owner to the port that I would like to blink via program *33.

I then programmed the flexible buttons in. On button 07 I programmed the PhDN in as ##507. on button 08 I programed 424. I used 424 not 423 because this phone already has a PhDN asssigned to button 00.

I then went to the phone itself and entered in:

int #65792 + ext num + Redial
and
int #65691 + ext num + Redial

At this point I go and leave a message in the voicemail box for 507 and would expect to see the message waiting light to blink.

I can only look at the working Message waiting light I have on around here and have done so. From what I have checked they are set up identically.

Is there something else I am missing here?

I has to do with the location of the button on the phone. PhDN msg lights have to be put in a certain order. Let me read up on it and I'll be back.....

Are you going to button 00 when you say int or button 07, when you do the #65691 and #65792

Isn't button 00 a PDN not PHDN, also I would try using 423 if it is the first PHDN with v.m. box

sorry, I guess I should be a little more clear on the intercom button. I did not think of it before but it is programmed in as button 00 on the flexible buttons. So in this case that "intercom" button is ##024. I have tried to use 423 but since that button 00 is ##024 on the phone I figured I should use 424.

So try 423 instead of 424 and see if it works.

I have no idea why that worked. The way I was reading the programing page if you had another PhDN on the phone you needed to go with 424 as a minimum but it works!

button 00 is ##024 on the phone I figured I should use 424.
Button 00 is a PDN (Prime Directory Number) and button 07 is a PhDN (Phantom Directory Number) making button 07 your first PhDN so button 08 should be 423 for the first PhDN MW.

Maybe this will help clear it up for you - glad you got it working.

Ok, I got it now, so if I had any buttons other than 00 programed to a PhDN I would use 424.

Thanks
