HELP! Our local calling area went to a new dialing system where we have to dial the area code for local calls. Our breakroom phone already has a toll restriction to block long distant calling. I can't figure out how to let them dial the area code and number without activiating long distance calling? I'm unsure of which Program 40's I need. Oh, we have a DKT 2000 Series, 40 DK. Please help! My empoloyees are starting to get irritated!

Toll restriction is not for the faint of heart. It's rather complicated on the DK, which is why Toshiba had a separate class for it. Save yourself the headache and call in a tech who can get it done right.

I don't make any changes that I'm not sure are correct. However, I do know that when teh system was isntalled, there were a handful of prefixes that are in our local calling area and can be dialed from ee break room phone. However, I'm not sure if I can just add the area code to these and be okay, or if that's going to give access to the area code in general, in turn allowing long distant calling. I've made serveal programming changes to our phone system, also have the programming manual. If I'm unsure, I will resort to calling a tech, but I'm familiar with the system and the programming directives. I'd like to see if there are any suggestions before spending the money on a support call.
