Hi to All,
I am not a technician or even a phone aficionado, just an end user trying to make my phones work. We are a small business with about 16 extensions. Our Phone Systems is a Strata DK96 and our VM System is a VP-100. Usually the auto attendant answers our lines. I think the systems just getting too old. Last week we ran into a problem where the system was not picking up lines. We reset the phone system and everything went back to working okay. The same problem just happened again today. When someone calls our main number it just rings and rings....does not get picked up. I have a technician coming in to fix the problem, but in the meantime is it possible to circumvent the system and have all incoming calls ring one or more extension?
Could really use some help in a quick way.
Thank you
JoeFixes

It sounds like the VP100 either needs to be reset, or has died altogether.
When the technician gets there, have him put a Night Transfer button on your phone. Program all lines to ring a phone or a group of phones in night mode. Then if this condition happens again, put the system in night mode and the calls will ring in on the phone(s).
The ONLY time you will need to put the system in night mode is when the VP100 stops answering the calls.
In the mean time, I think you're SOL!
Here's another thought... If you have single line appearance on your phone (separate buttons for Line 1, Line 2, etc.), The line buttons should be flashing red while a call is ringing in. Just push the flashing {Line 1,2,3...} button and say "Hello."

Do you have a DSS connected to the phone on port 00? If so, then press the top right key (button 60). If not, then try pressing the second button down on the right side of the phone on port 00. Maybe the original installer of your DK96 changed the DND button to a night transfer button on the main answering position. If this doesn't work, then do as Voyager suggests and have the tech program a Nite Transfer button.

It appears as though there is no Nite Transfer key programmed. I also am not able to determine which extension is connected to which port. If I looked at the actual cards would I be able to tell?

I found Port 00. Is it possible I could now program a nite transfer button on my phone? Can someone walk me through?

Can any of you tech savvy folks tell me what the key sequence is for an ALL CALL or an ALL PAGE?

Press Intercom 30 for all call page. To program a nite transfer button, have your tech program the button as 91 in P39 from the program port 05.
