I am trying to disable the ability to hit 0 during a vm (or at least have it re-ring or record to same vm box). I have gone into stratagy and set the menu for zero to record and the same vm ext# (I couldn't figure out how to remove it alltogether). But when I hit 0 it is still going to the main operator extension. I also tried changing flexible access code 0 to go to tenant access code and then setting up tenant to dial digits to the same extension# and then set the extension to that tenant #.
Nothing I have tried is working though. basically I am trying to isolate this extension from the rest of the system. This one extension will basically be like a separate company so I don't want them to be able to hit 0 and talk to the other company's operator.
What am I missing?

Lets keep it simple. Lets say you are dealing in MB205. Put 205 in the 0 box. When the caller dials '0' it should transfer the call back out to 205 then take a message again.
You can always put the hang-up code in 0 or the done chain......... :shhh:

I think I have it setup that way but it is not working, when I hit 0 during the vm recording it goes to ext 4200 (operator), not 8004. See image below ![[Linked Image from d.imagehost.org]](https://d.imagehost.org/0974/Capture.jpg)

On the Groups/Chains tab, set your chain delay to 50. This gives the user 5 seconds to enter a digit.

Not sure I understand what help that is? Regardless I set it anyway and it didnt change anything.
I am wanting them to not be able to hit 0 or if they do hit 0 have it just loop to the same recording.

You set up dial 0 in MB 8004. Means if caller inside the MB 8004 leaving a message he has an option dial one digits to reach somebody else. You have to go to Routing MB(Greeting) MB 990or 991 and set up 0 for 8004 there.

I think the last 2 posts are missing the OPs intent. I don't think he wants to change the global option for dialing 0. What he wants, as I understand it, is that in this one mailbox, 8004 to have a different option 0 then the other mailboxes or the main greeting.
Also 2 corrections on the previous posts, for an IES there is no mailbox 991 and a 5 second delay is 5000, not 50 like the IVP8, a mistake I have already made.
The screen grab looks like it is correctly setup, although you could select the drop-down to Record instead of Transfer. You are saying that if you press 0 while the greeting in mailbox 8004 is playing ith will always go to the main reception? It should not, unless you wait until the beep and the VM is recording. I also wonder what the extension field looks like, as a transfer will dial what ever is in the extension field of the VM box.
With VM boxes that are seperate from the rest of the system, I usually set the Chain Done to transfer 999, so callers won't end up in the main greeting.
