Anyone accomplished this for extension dialing?
If we know it'll work it'll be the first step in to a large system.

Oh, QSIG would be acceptable as well. Just anything to connect them.

I do not know if IP QSIG will work. I have heard other people try with other systems, and I don't remember a successful atept posted.

We have in my office tied a Toshiba CIX 200 to a Shoretell system using a PRI inhouse. You could even dial extensions directly to each system, dialing 9 from the Toshiba got an outside line through the Shoretel.

Both system are still in house, but the PRI cards are gone. I did not initially set them up, but I remember that it wasn't extremely difficult to setup.

I attempted to tie them with SIP trunks, but I never got it working.

QSIG over PRI is possible.
SIP extensions from either the Toshiba or the Shoretel should work also as simple piggy backing.
I have done Toshiba to Nortel & Alcatel over QSIG PRI without any problems.
I have Toshiba SIP to another Toshiba as well.

PRI would be too expensive, has to be SIP or IPQSIG.

IPQSIG is only for Toshiba to Toshiba

SIP is your only option then either Toshiba to Shoretel or Shoretel to Toshiba your choice on the way you want it to operate.

Carlos, have you actually accomplished this via SIP? How integrated did you get it? Feasible to have the Toshiba side use the Shoretel VM?

No I have not done it with a Shoretel but Tosh to Tosh only.

PRI is the best way but still cheaper than replacing one end to a Toshiba or another Shoretel.
