Hello all, I've made a bunch of changes to our CIX 670 with a Stratagy DK voicemail & have some questions. We have 7 ip stations running off a BIPU card. Some of the users are complaining of echo. They are connected to the CIX via gigabit fibre and ethernet with quality switches - so the connection shouldn't be the problem. I thought I remembered reading that certain types of trunk cards worked better with the BIPU; any truth to that? Or was I dreaming? I've got one RGLU (echo seems to follow this trunk card), one RCOU with a RCOS, one naked RCOU, and a spare RCOU. Was gonna put the RCOU in place of the RGLU, but when I shutdown the CIX to change cards, the building alarms connected to analog stations go off. I know there are firmware updates for the BIPU and the IPT2010 stations. Anyone willing to send them to me? Next.. I've not done a lot of token programming in the Stratagy. How can I get the Stratagy to flash the line and transfer the call to a cell phone? Anyone got a source for DKT2020 labels that come on the printer sheet? I don't need 90 from Desi... Only need 12 or so labels. Thanks for your help!

You can get the firmware upgrades for the BIPU and IPT's from the FYI site. Are the IPT's running G711 or G729a do you have any QoS setting on the network?
As for the token programming put @F-9xxxxxxxx-H in the extension field in the mailbox you are trying to get it to transfer to the mobile, 9 is the line access code and xxxxxxxxxx is the mobile number. Don't forget to make sure the DND is switched off on the mailbox as well for the transfer to happen.
Can't help on the labels sorry
Regards Carl

Basically, all of the analog trunk cards (rcou1+2,rglu,rddu) have the potential and likelihood to cause echo. The rcou3 is the only one built to accommodate ipt stations.

Thanks for the trunk card info! Maybe I'll boot the RGLU out in favour of the spare RCOU3 I have.
PS: Thanks for the link! I'll get some labels from there. I had searched google for labels but I was always skeptical when I saw the pictures of only one label - I have the DESI software that prints three labels per page.
Carlos#1: I haven't worked for a dealer in a few years & no longer have access to FYI, that's why I was wondering if anyone would share the files with me. I've gotten out of the telecom field full time and am only responsible for two CIXs (a 100 with 8 stations and a 670 with about 60 stations.)
I was actually looking for the Centrex type offsite transfer tokens, but I found it in another topic.

Centrex offsite is something like this:
@F-450--Number,,F-H
Not sure if you need the last F, and the 2 commas (4 secs) could be adjusted. The call has to start ringing the offsite number before the voicemail disconnects or the transfer may fail.
That link looks interesting, altho no IPT or DP-5000 series label support. I don't think our company will use it but at least the software looks a bit better then Desi, which has known issues with Windows vista and reqires files to be save in the short 8+3 name. This obviously shows how long ago this was written. I eventually just made an Excel spreadsheet to make the lables.
Toshiba recommends only using RCOU3A cards with IPTs, but as mentions, any analog card could cause echo.
I do not usnderstand why the building alarm would be setup to go through the PBX. With analog trunks, the alarm should be connected to the lines before the lines even hit the PBX.

Yeah I had found @F-450,{Phone Number},,H in another topic.
There's a new version of the Desi software out - it supports long file names. The problem with getting Desi.com labels to Canada is the shipping is $19 so a box of labels ends up being $50.
The alarms that go through the PBX are in a couple outbuildings that don't have CO trunks and don't have enough facilities to have four pair dedicated for the alarm panels.

I guess they actually hired some programmers to make an update. They even have a 64 bit version. They aren't calling the free version lite anymore.
