Very happy to register this forum and post the first topic here.
I am the one installation Toshiba system since year 1993 in Hong Kong.
Apprecite if someone can share the experience on the SIP client in iPhone.
For me, iSIP can work perfect with LIPU but not MIPU. (Toshiba reply that is the issue on the RTCP different between MIPU and LIPU).
Now, I seek the uMobility SIP client in Apple Store which declare "the uMobility client can be used as a stand-alone Wi-Fi dialer when connected to an open source IP PBX (e.g., Asterisk) or Toshiba IP PBX (Strata CIX)"
With confirmed by uMobility, it can be work with Toshiba without the uMobility controller.
Anyone can share the experience on SIP and uMobility to me?
Thanks in advance.

Hi All,
I finish the testing to connect the uMobility iPhone App to LIPU and MIPU as a SIP phone. Please leave the message here who wants to know the result.

Usually, we will setup a PPTP VPN by Fortinet firewall to the SIP connection off site to prevent the one way voice when public ip issue and security issue. Also, the PPTP connection is build in function in MS Window and iPhone.

uMobility client in HK is cheaper than Weephone.
In HK App store, weephone is USD4.99 but uMobility is USD1.99. BTW, you can enable the VPN in iPhone, in Setting > General > Network > VPN. iPhone is supporting L2TP, PPTP and IPSec.
Thanks for your information, I will test weephone in HK as well.

I'm interested in knowing the results how you got it to work directly with a Toshiba CIX. I have the app and have a Toshiba with several SIP phones and IP phones working but the app keeps having a config error.

Manually configure the profile(which you can do from IPHONE Settings (scroll till the end you will see uMobility). Once you have configured the profile you will be able to make and receive calls.
For iPhone/iPod-touch running OS 3.x, you can download uMobility client from App Store. (Please select uMobility) For iPhone 3G, iPhone 3Gs and iPhone 4 running iOS 4.x, you can download uMobility client from App Store. (Please select uMobility4)
