I've got a customer who has a Toshiba with an Amanda Voice Mail. They are telling me that lately the voice mail seems to not be transferring callers to the proper mailboxes and extensions. I think it sounds like the Toshiba is not transferring properly NOT the voice mail. Any thoughts? I'm going to see them on Monday. Thanks in advance.

Can you tell us the model of the Toshiba system, ie. dk280, dk16, ctx100. best way to determine if the transfering problem is on the switch side or the voicemail side is to monitor the port within the amanda voicemail and place a test call in.
good players practice till' they get it right…great players practice till' they never get it wrong

It could be any number of things. Is the mailbox in DND? Does the mailbox have an extension number assigned? Does the Amanda do a blind or a supervised transfer? Has the voice mail integration been entered correctly on the extension port? Has call forwarding been activated correctly on the extension port?
These are just a few things to keep in mind while troubleshooting. Check it out Monday and re-post with what you find.
