I was hoping someone could explain the correct way to put an extension on multiple stations.

We have an executive (Ext 201) who has her phone ringing on Ext 200 and Ext 205 for screening purposes. The current setup has a button for ext 201 on stations 200 and 205.

The problem we have is when Ext 201 is on a call and receives a second call, stations 200 and 205 are not ringing. I would imagine that this is due to the fact that the extension is in use.

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Lou

what you have described is a SDN of extn 201 on extn 200 and 205 and that would be the correct operation.

But it depends on how you have the system configured:
Do you have Pooled lines so the call can jump onto the PL group to free up the PDN201?
Have you got extn 201 in "line" or "terminal" mode?
Is 201 receiving CO or DID calls?
You could always put 200,201&205 into a MCG and point 201's calls at the MCG so all 3 extns will ring together or a delay 1 or delay 2.
Is this a CIX or DK system?
Have you tried using a PhDN instead of the SDN?

lots of possibilities depending on the setup you have onsite, so more info would be needed to give you an acurate answer.
