Installing bogen TG4c tone generator on Toshiba CTX670 with BIOU 4 zones. Trying to use zone 4 to have chimes play once prior to page announcement is played. Having trouble understanding Bogen Tech support (language). Using bogen gold series c-60 amp. Was told to use mic 5 input/tel connected to com and audio in. Conect wire between chime-com,trigger-com. It seems to me that the PBX should be hooked to audio in and amp to sig out????? Has anyone used this product before???

If you are looking for a splash tone before the page, you might consider using a PI-DKT-R from Page Industries on an available digital port instead of the BIOU card.

The paging card is being used for other zones and they don't have an available digital port unless they add another card, which they aren't going to do.
Is there any otehr ideas?

Take a look at the FBI-1A from Viking Electronics. It's purpose is to eliminate feedback but it fits your application. It will record your page announcement and play it back over the paging system with a pre or post splash tone.

The triger and com should be connected to a contact closure. On the BIOU the contact closure for zone 4 is on the Red/Brown pair.
