I ran across someone with a Perfect Voice Answer 4 Port external flash mail. At first glance it looks just like the Toshiba Strategy Flash (Gray Box, COM1 & COM2 ports on the back, 6 lights on the front) However I am unable to connect to the box using my Toshiba Strategy software. Is the programming completely different or is the baud rate just different. The customer doesn't know the password to mail 999 and the original company who sold it to them got bought out and the new company is unresponsive to their calls. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

The software on the 2 systems is completely different and so is the programming. With the PerfectVoice, you can do almost everything you need from the telephone user interface. To program from a pc you would use hyperterminal or procomm as stated above.

Thanks for the information guys. Is there anything I can do if they don't know the admin password for mailbox 999? Or more importantly is mailbox 999 the admin mailbox on the perfect voice?

Admin mailboxes are 900 and 910.

If the customer no longer knows the admin password does Teleco provide a service or is there a way to reset the password? Can we just reset the unit back to all default settings?
