Anyone had a GVMU return to factory default, battery strap is in the on position.This has happened 3 times to one voicemail.

Never had it happen here. Sounds like the battery is dead.

Thats what I thought , so I programed it , did a backup , and power cycled. Programing was still there.

Maybe a weak battery instead of a dead battery?
Remove power for a few minutes and see if it still retains programming.

I've had untold problems with GVMU's... and the first 'fix' I do is to put in a UPS... that generally solves GVMU problems.

I suspect that they are particularly susceptible to power surges... at least, that's my thought.

I talked to Toshiba about this yesterday and they said there is no fix, otherthan to replace.

We have had the same issue in the UK but the reason we have been given is that the memory on the card can only be written to so many times and after that it defaults, sorry can remember the figures I was given. :bang:
