Has anyone connected one of those fancy conference phone/adjunct to a CIX100 w/DP5032 phone? Do they even work on a Toshiba? Can they be used with the headphone jack? I would like to put them in our conference rooms and don't see much info on what they work with and how they connect. Any thoughts would be much appreciated smile Thanks!

Ok, I'm betting my best choice is adding a SLT port to the conf. room on 2nd pair and having the conference phone plugged into that.

Most conference room phones that I have installed require an analog line. I have not seen anything that would plug into the headset jack of the phone, but that doesn't mean no one has made one.

Konexx makes a handset cord adapter that they claim is universal for such an application. I'm sure that there would be limitations though, like the ability to ring the conference phone, etc.

I've used the Konexx adapters before and all they are doing is taking the sound path that would go to the handset and giving it to a single line device like a Polycom.

You would establish the call on the Toshiba and then push the talk button on the Polycom.

There is no reason you could not ring the Toshiba phone unless the Polycom was already in use.

I understood that Tosh were going to make a full duplex 5000 series handset at some point? I would personally stick with an analogue device as they work reliably.

They do. The DP5130-FSDL is the Full Duplex digital phone. Also, all of the IP phones are full duplex.

Have you tried using an DP5130 on a conference call?

If your asking me, NO I have not... But I will come Monday as the system goes LIVE this weekend.... I fear that these Telrad full-duplex phones may look better after a switched-talk path speaker phone is used with the toshiba system.
