I have a 5122 and would like it to ring over the headset. They need to hear it ringing when they are walking around. i turned on the mute ring over handset/headset but no go for standard ringing.
also this is in a kitchen environment, I currently have a plantronics cs50 for the headset. these work good in a office type setting, but not so well in the kitchen.
need one ear, good volume, noise condensed, good range, needs to ring with the phone, and work with the 5122.
any thoughts?

Plantronics have a ringer sensor that you plug into the base and sends ringing tone over the wireless headset. Not sure of the model number it looks like a rectangular box with a short cable coming from it with a small sensor that stuck on the phone speaker grill. Should be on their website as an accessory.

HL 10 works in conjunction wit the CS50 headset. You should have a little mic with sticky tape that sticks to the speaker on the base. It sends a chime to the headset to alert you to an incoming call.

You dont need a lifter on Toshiba handsets, the ringer unit I was referring to plugs into the base where the lifter plugs in.
Plantronics came to my office to test their new product as it is very cheap compared to the lifter.
Again Toshiba handsets do NOT require a lifter when the headset is plugged into the headset port!!

Lifters on 5000 series are impractical anyway because of the angle of the handset.
