We have a few IP phones. The IP cards are in our main cabinet at our high school. On the IP phones that are not in the high school, I can't assign a secondary DN to any of the buttons unless the number being assigned to the button is a high school number. Is there some kind of group setting I need to change in eManager? We're using eManager 4.2. A model number of the IP phone is IPT2010-SD.

What I am trying to do is allow an IP phone in an elementary building to answer calls coming in to other extensions in the elementary building. When I try to add an elementary secondary DN to a button, eManager throws an error about the prime DN conflicting with an existing numbering scheme. I can add high school secondary DN's just fine though. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

If you have 2 systems and they are QSIG networked you should have setup the network DN tables correctly so each system knows the extension number range of the other system.

For example CIX1 has 100-199 extns and CIX2 has 200-299 extns
If you try to put a SDN key of extn 200 on extn 100 you will get an error as you are only able to put SDN's of 100-199

Same goes for multiple call groups (MCG) you are only able to add local extensions and not any remote extns from CIX2 into a MCG on CIX1.
You can overflow a MCG on CIX1 to a MCG on CIX2 using a SCF template.

If an extn on CIX2 wants to do a call pickup of an extn on CIX1 they can if they dial the CIX1 Node ID and then the #5 pickup code

Unfortunately I don't know a lot about the system. The vendor installed and configured it (now out of warranty), and our employee who maintained it is no longer with us. I had about 10 minutes of training, mainly focused on the voicemail side for resetting codes, etc... We have a CIX "box" in each of our 10 buildings. They are all connected to our data network and communicate back to the 4 large boxes we have at our high school. The high school system contains the IP cards, and the IP phones will function if we plug them in at any building.

I looked in the network DN table and none of our IP phone extensions are listed. Each building does have a different node ID. They show up in the station > assignments area of eManager, but I don't see a way to change or add them to an existing network node ID.
